Start the Conversation with Bright Side Author
Every project, story, and speaking opportunity starts with a conversation. If you are interested in working with me, learning more about one of my professional services, or discussing an upcoming event, I would be glad to hear what you have in mind.
I am Jo Elizabeth Pinto, an author, editor, Braille proofreader, ghostwriter, and speaker. Through Bright Side Author, I combine my experience with writing and communication to offer personalized services for writers, individuals, organizations, and event planners.
You can contact me about editing services, Braille proofreading, ghostwriting services, or speaking engagements. Because I work independently rather than as part of a large team, your inquiry comes directly to me.
Tell me a little about what you need, and we can determine whether my experience and services are a good fit for your project.
Get in Touch With Jo Elizabeth Pinto
The easiest way to begin is to use the contact form on this page and provide some basic information about your project or inquiry.
The more relevant information you can share, the easier it will be for me to understand what you are looking for.
For a writing project, tell me what you are working on, what stage the project has reached, and the type of support you need. For Braille proofreading, provide an overview of the material and approximate scope. If you are interested in booking a speaking engagement, include information about your organization, audience, event, preferred topic, and anticipated date.
You do not need to have every detail finalized before contacting me. A clear overview is enough to begin the conversation.
What to Include in Your Message
A helpful initial message does not need to be long, but providing a few important details can make the conversation more productive.
Include your name and preferred contact information along with the service you are interested in. Then provide a short description of your manuscript, Braille project, ghostwriting idea, or speaking event.
For project based services, include relevant timing information when possible. For speaking inquiries, include the anticipated event date and audience.
If you are unsure which service you need, simply explain what you are trying to accomplish. I can review your inquiry and determine whether one of my services appears suitable.

Editing Services Inquiries
If you have written a manuscript or another piece of content and believe it would benefit from a fresh perspective, contact me about editing services.
When submitting your inquiry, it is helpful to explain the type of writing you have created, its approximate length, where you are in the writing process, and what you hope editing will accomplish.
I approach editing with respect for the writer’s individual voice. My goal is not to make your work sound like mine. Instead, I provide another perspective intended to help strengthen the writing while preserving the qualities that make it your own.
As the author of six books, I understand how much time, thought, and personal investment can go into a writing project.
Tell me about your manuscript, and we can discuss whether my editing services are appropriate for your needs.

Braille Proofreading Inquiries
Braille proofreading is one of the specialized professional services available through Bright Side Author.
If you have Braille material that requires careful review, use the contact form to tell me about your project. Include information about the type of content, its approximate scope, and any relevant timing requirements.
I work as a Braille proofreader in addition to being an author and editor. This service reflects my professional experience with accessible written communication and my understanding of the importance of accuracy in Braille materials.
Every project can have different requirements, so I evaluate inquiries individually before determining whether I can assist.
You do not need to be an author to inquire about Braille proofreading. Individuals and organizations with appropriate Braille projects are welcome to get in touch.
Ghostwriting Inquiries
A story can exist long before it becomes a finished piece of writing.
You may have an idea you have carried for years, personal experiences you want to capture, or a concept you understand clearly but have struggled to translate onto the page.
My ghostwriting services are designed to help clients develop their ideas through professional writing support.
If you are interested in ghostwriting, tell me what you would like to create and what you already have. You might have detailed notes and a developed concept, or you may still be working through the earliest stages of the idea.
Communication is central to ghostwriting. I need to understand your goals, perspective, and intended message before determining how I can help.
Contact me with an overview of your project so we can discuss whether ghostwriting is the right service for you.
Speaking Engagement Inquiries
I am also available to discuss speaking opportunities for schools, conferences, leadership groups, community organizations, and other appropriate events.
My speaking can draw on experiences involving writing, storytelling, resilience, overcoming challenges, communication, perseverance, self advocacy, disability, and personal growth.
If you are considering me for an event, please provide as much relevant information as possible in your initial inquiry.
Useful details include the event date, type of organization, expected audience, event format, preferred subject, and what you would like attendees to take away from the presentation.
Every audience is different, so understanding your goals helps me determine whether my background and speaking approach are a good match.
