Author Services for Writers, Creators and Organizations
Professional Author Services for Writers, Creators, and Organizations
Writing can begin with inspiration, but transforming an idea into something ready to share often requires patience, perspective, and careful attention to detail. Through Bright Side Author, I offer professional author services that draw on my experience with writing, editing, accessibility, and communication.
My primary services include editing, Braille proofreading, ghostwriting, and speaking engagements. Although each service meets a different need, they share a common foundation: thoughtful communication and personal attention.
I am an individual author and service provider, so when you contact Bright Side Author about a project, you are connecting directly with me. There is no large team between your initial inquiry and the person doing the work.
Whether you have already written a manuscript, need help developing an idea, require Braille proofreading, or are searching for a speaker for an upcoming event, I welcome the opportunity to learn about what you need.
Professional Support From a Published Author
My experience as an author influences the way I approach services for other writers.
I am the author of six books spanning fiction, young adult literature, memoir, and poetry. My debut novel, The Bright Side of Darkness, received a First Place Indie Book Award for Inspirational Fiction.
Best selling author Jim Stovall described the book as one that “...introduces us to characters that take us on a rollercoaster ride of adventure and discovery.”
Writing my own books has given me firsthand experience with developing ideas, working through drafts, reconsidering language, and bringing projects closer to completion.
That perspective matters when I work with another writer. I understand that a manuscript is more than words on a page. It may represent months or years of thought, effort, imagination, and personal investment.
My goal is to respect that investment while providing the service your project requires.

Editing Services
Sometimes a writer becomes so familiar with a manuscript that it becomes difficult to see what could be improved. A fresh perspective can help reveal opportunities to strengthen the writing and prepare it for the next stage.
My editing services provide writers with thoughtful support from someone who understands the creative process from an author’s perspective.
I approach editing with respect for your individual voice. Your writing should continue to sound like you. My role is not to transform your work into something I would have written. Instead, I focus on helping you strengthen what is already there.
Every project is different, which is why I encourage writers to contact me with information about their manuscript and what they hope to accomplish. We can discuss the project and determine whether my editing services are an appropriate fit.
Specialized Service
Braille Proofreading
Braille proofreading is one of the specialized services available through Bright Side Author.
Accuracy matters when written information is presented in Braille, and careful proofreading plays an important role in identifying potential issues before materials reach their intended readers.
My work as a Braille proofreader complements my broader experience with writing and editing while bringing a distinctive accessibility focused service to Bright Side Author.
Clients seeking Braille proofreading can contact me to explain the type of material involved and the scope of the project. Because requirements can vary, discussing the work directly allows me to understand what is needed before moving forward.
This service is available independently of my other author services. You do not need to be an author or have a book project to inquire about Braille proofreading.
Service Offering
Ghostwriting Services
Having a strong idea does not always mean having the time or experience needed to turn it into finished writing.
Ghostwriting provides a way to bridge that gap.
My ghostwriting services are intended for clients who have ideas, experiences, or stories they want to communicate with professional writing support. The process begins with listening. Before words can effectively represent your ideas, I need to understand what you want to say and what you want the finished work to accomplish.
Communication is especially important in ghostwriting because the finished material should reflect the client’s intended message rather than simply the writer’s preferences.
If you have an idea that has been waiting to become something more, I invite you to contact me and tell me about the project. We can discuss its direction, scope, and goals before determining the next steps.
Service Offering
Speaking Engagements
My work with words also extends beyond the page.
I am available for speaking engagements that draw on my experiences as an author and storyteller as well as the personal experiences that have shaped my perspective.
Potential speaking themes include storytelling, resilience, overcoming challenges, leadership, perseverance, communication, self advocacy, and personal growth. Presentations can be considered for schools, conferences, leadership groups, community organizations, and other appropriate events.
I believe effective speaking begins with understanding the audience. Event organizers can contact me to discuss the purpose of the event, audience, preferred format, and desired takeaways.
This allows us to determine whether my experience and presentation style are a good match for the occasion.
Why Work With Bright Side Author?
Choosing someone to work with your writing or participate in your event is a personal decision. Experience matters, but so does communication.
When you work with Bright Side Author, you work directly with me. My background combines published authorship with editing, Braille proofreading, ghostwriting, and public speaking.
That combination gives me the ability to approach words from several perspectives.
As an author, I understand the creative process. As an editor, I understand the value of careful review. As a Braille proofreader, I recognize the importance of accuracy and accessible communication. As a ghostwriter, I understand the importance of listening for another person’s intended voice. As a speaker, I use storytelling to connect ideas with audiences.
The result is a range of complementary services centered on communication.
Frequently Asked Questions
What author services do you offer?
I offer editing services, Braille proofreading, ghostwriting services, and speaking engagements through Bright Side Author.
Can I hire you even if I am not an author?
Yes. The appropriate service depends on your project. Braille proofreading and speaking engagements, for example, may be relevant to organizations and individuals who are not working on books.
Do you work directly with clients?
Yes. Bright Side Author represents my individual work, so clients communicate directly with me rather than working through a team.
Can you help write something for me?
Ghostwriting may be suitable if you have an idea, story, or project that needs writing support. Contact me with information about what you have in mind so I can better understand the project.
How do I know which service I need?
You do not need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. Tell me about your project, what stage it has reached, and what kind of support you think you need. We can determine whether one of my services is suitable.
Book Pinto for Editing, Ghostwriting and Speaking Engagements
A manuscript may need another perspective. An idea may need help finding its way onto the page. Braille content may require careful proofreading. An upcoming event may need a speaker who can connect with the audience through authentic storytelling.
Whatever brings you to Bright Side Author, the first step is a conversation about what you need.
